DeepSeek Harness

Install the plugin into your dsh profile and log in.

`dsh plugin` forwards to pnpm. Install pnpm first if the command prints `pnpm not found on PATH`. Run the add command from a directory that is not a bun/pnpm/npm project — the installer inherits `INIT_CWD`, and a repo pinned to another package manager makes pnpm refuse. The install is per profile: --profile web does not load the plugin in headless or tui. Capture runs in-process — there is no native hook file to trust.

Install

  1. 1

    Install the Plugin

In a terminal, from a directory that is not a bun/pnpm/npm project, add Zest to your interactive dsh profile. Repeat with --profile headless if you also run dsh --profile headless.

dsh plugin --profile web add github:Winding-Labs/zest-dsh

Need capture in another profile? Run the same add command with --profile headless. One profile does not cover the others.

  2. 2

    Authenticate with Zest

Start a web session (dsh --profile web) so the chat opens in a browser, then run the Zest login command there — not in the terminal you pasted the install into. Do not use dsh's built-in /login — that is provider auth.

    /zest-login
  3. 3

    Start coding

The plugin tracks DeepSeek Harness sessions in the background. /zest-status shows auth and sync.
