Weave alternative (Workweave): PR scores vs sessions.
Sources last reviewed
Weave, formerly Workweave, scores the output of every pull request with a model and ties it to AI usage and cost; Pro is $42 an engineer a month, billed yearly.[1][2] Zest scores nothing: it reads each engineer's coding-agent sessions and the pull requests they led to.
Weave reads AI use from Cursor and Copilot APIs, git co-authorship and activity windows “always labeled as estimated”.[3] Zest's plugin records each session's model, tokens, skills and MCP tools in the agent itself.
Zest gets you:
Zest Pro: $49 a month for 5 engineers, seats included. Weave, $210/mo for 5 engineers: Pro at $42 an engineer a month, billed yearly ($50 monthly) (read October 4, 2026).[2]

Scores each pull request
No: Zest doesn't score or rank pull requests or engineers.
Yes: Looks at every PR and asks “how long would this take an expert engineer to complete?”[1]
Per-engineer view
Yes: Each engineer's sessions, models, skills and MCP tools, next to their pull requests.
Yes: Pro adds individual and team stats: output, quality and reverts per engineer.[1][2]
How it reads AI coding
A plugin or extension in each engineer's coding agent reports every session: model, tokens, skills and MCP tools.
Native APIs for Cursor and Copilot, git co-authorship for tools without one, and time-series estimates “always labeled as estimated”.[3]
Answers questions on demand
Yes: Ask Zest answers questions about the team's sessions and pull requests; the MCP server brings them into your agent.
Yes: Wooly, its research agent, answers questions with sources, in the app or when mentioned in Slack.[4]
Cost for 5 engineers
$49/mo for 5 engineers: one Pro workspace, seats included.
$210/mo for 5 engineers: Pro at $42 an engineer a month, billed yearly ($50 monthly).[2]
Free plan or trial
Yes: Starter is free for 3 seats, no credit card.
Yes: Starter is $0, “ideal for basic usage or teams under 5”, with org-level AI usage only.[2]

Workweave is now Weave
workweave.ai redirects to weaveos.com, where the product is called Weave. Starter is free, “ideal for basic usage or teams under 5”, with org-level AI usage and ROI. Pro adds pull request drill-down, individual and team stats, the Wooly agent and AI insights; Enterprise adds GitHub Enterprise support. Weave also sells an R&D capitalization report and DORA benchmarks.
Why Zest doesn't score pull requests or people
Weave's output score asks how long an expert engineer would take to complete each pull request, and rolls the answer up per engineer. Zest leaves that judgment to the team: it shows which agent, model, skills and MCP tools each session used, what it cost, and whether it ended in a merged pull request. If one comparable number per pull request is what you need, Weave has it and Zest does not. Waydev and Swarmia put a cost on each pull request without scoring it.
Wooly or a daily standup
Wooly answers questions about your engineering data when you ask, in the app or in a Slack thread, with its sources. Zest pushes instead: each engineer gets a standup written at 6pm from that day's sessions and pull requests, and the workspace owner a weekly digest. Ask Zest answers questions too, and Cursor usage shows what Zest reads from Cursor.

Starter is free (3 seats, no credit card). Pro is $49 a month with 5 seats and Max is $149 a month with 10 seats — priced per workspace, not per engineer, with extra seats at $19 a month.
Weave's pricing page lists Starter at $0, Pro at $50 per engineer a month billed monthly or $42 billed yearly, and custom Enterprise pricing (checked October 4, 2026).
