OpenCode

Install the plugin into opencode and log in.

OpenCode logo

Works with opencode 2.x (@opencode/cli) and 1.18 or newer (opencode-ai) — opencode --version tells you which you have. opencode loads plugins when it starts, so restart it after installing; on 1.x the first start after any plugin install can take about a minute. Capture runs inside opencode after every finished turn — there is no hook file or extra process.

Install

  1. 1

    Install on opencode 2.x

Add Zest in a terminal, then run opencode service restart so the background service loads it. opencode checks for plugin updates daily; opencode plugin update applies them.

    opencode plugin add github:Winding-Labs/zest-opencode
  2. 2

    Install on opencode 1.x

Add Zest to your global opencode config. -g covers the TUI, opencode run and opencode serve.

    opencode plugin zest-opencode@github:Winding-Labs/zest-opencode -g

To update on 1.x, run the same command with the release tag and -f, …zest-opencode#vX.Y.Z -g -f. 1.x never refetches a plugin it has already installed.

  3. 3

    Authenticate with Zest

Start opencode, then type the Zest login command in the chat. Your browser opens the Zest device page; opencode waits until you approve, then shows the result.

    /zest-login
  4. 4

    Start coding

The plugin captures every opencode session when a turn finishes. /zest-status shows auth and sync.
