GitHub

Connect your repos so Zest can tie AI sessions to the PRs they produced.

GitHub is an integration, not an editor plugin — there is nothing to install locally. You connect it once from your Zest workspace and it applies to everyone on the team.

Connect

  1. 1

    Open Integrations in Zest

Sign in to Zest and open Settings → Integrations. You need to be an admin of the workspace to connect an organization.

    Open Integrations
  2. 2

    Install the Zest GitHub App

Click "Connect GitHub". GitHub asks which organization to install into and which repositories to grant access to. Zest reads pull requests, commits and metadata — it never writes to your code.

  3. 3

    Pick the repositories to track

Choose every repository, or select them one by one. You can change the selection later from GitHub's app settings without reconnecting.

  4. 4

    Wait for the first sync

Zest backfills recent pull requests as soon as the app is installed. Larger organizations can take a few minutes.

  5. 5

    Check PR throughput

Open the dashboard. Merged PRs are now matched to the AI sessions that produced them, so throughput sits next to the prompts and models behind it.
